Welcome to Bella Sapone a luxury bath and body store. I specialize in cold process handmade soap, moisturizing bath bombs and a couple awesome lotions.

I fell in love with bath and body products completly by accident, I can blame it all on my husband. Its all his fault! He brought home a bath bomb for our sons bath one day, our son had really bad eczema on his legs and back. My husband thought this might help, well I plopped it in the tub and he loved it! But it really irritated his skin. This bomb had no oils and did contain sodium laureth sulfate which can really irritate sensative skin. Ah, the things I know now. I quickly googled the ingredients list and found a place to buy everything (minus the sodium laureth sulfate) and I started experimenting. Over the course of months I created my own recipe that was fun, fizzie and moisturizing. A few of my friends tried them and loved them and this really took off like crazy. Soon I began to dabble in sugar scrubs, lotions, various gels (shower, shampoo etc) and finally took the lye soap making plunge. I researched for several months before ever ordering lye. I was terrified of working with something so caustic! I definatly have a healthy respect for it and raw soap, watch my blog for tips on handling it and pictures of raw soap burns (such fun ) I love to chat about things that are comming up or items that are new so watch my blog for all of that!
